The Arts & Science Council is now accepting qualifications from local and regional (NC, SC, VA, TN and GA) artists for a public art opportunity at a new police division building in Charlotte, NC. The selected artist will work with police department staff, area residents, and the facility architect to develop and implement a concept for artwork to be incorporated into the facility. Art opportunities may include 2 or 3 dimensional works incorporated into the entry plaza walls or pavers, pilasters at the building entry, or within the landscape or fencing facing Central Avenue. The selected artist will work with the stakeholders to develop artwork themes and final location.
