///COMMUNITY PROJECTS & OUTREACHES

The Center and Our Community
The Outreach Program is led by Artists-in-Residence and Affiliate Artists and is designed to engage the community in a direct and meaningful way. Each artist performs at least two outreaches bringing the total number of programmed outreaches to 24 to 30 a year. Through this program, McColl Center for Visual Art serves as a bridge between artists and the community. The Center has built strong relationships with many organizations in the community including Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, UNC Charlotte, Carolinas Healthcare, Winthrop University, The Art Institute of Charlotte, The Mint Museums, Urban Ministries, Neiman Marcus and The Light Factory.
- Lauren DiCioccio worked with individuals during Open Studio Saturday and at Shamrock Senior Center to create hand-sewn letters that were mailed to those serving in the military.
