Nagy has a profound appreciation for traditional forms and an interest in utilitarian objects. Exploring sculptural forms in her work, she incorporates unpredicted colors and textures to produce the unexpected, expanding the role of basketry beyond the obvious craft. Nagy, a self-taught artist, is trained as a psychologist and received an MA in Counseling Psychology from Kutztown University.
