Bethany Fancher's connection to the animal world combined with alienation to humankind in general with all its oppression, repression, and depression runs thematically through her work. Her current body of wooly sculptures is about body, presence, hopefulness despite lumpen life in a grid of dissected parts, layers of human gravity to intergalactic sexuality, and yin love to balance that yang thang.
