Michael Haag

Interested in environmental sustainability, Haag is aware of the importance of solar in our future. During his residency, he will showcase the creative use of solar collection panels and, at the same time, provide a place for outdoor relaxation.  At the back of the Center, Haag will build a large bench under a shade tree made of recycled metal and solar-cell/LED gel-packs. The solar cells will collect energy and provide shade for the bench underneath the tree. The gathered electricity will be stored inside the bench and used to power the LED leaves at night. This stored power also will be available to bench sitters to run their laptops and other portable electronic devices.
