7 Artists Every Charlottean Should Meet

Seven artists-in-residence, pictured below, arrive at McColl Center for Art + Innovation at the beginning of January to take risks in their creative processes and explore their ideas within the context of our community. Their residencies begin on January 8 and end on May 1, 2018. (Julio Gonzalez is on an 11-month artist residency, which started on August 28, 2017, and ends on August 10, 2018.)

Come through and say hello to each of them at our Open House on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Open House at McColl Center

The start of an artist residency season at McColl Center is always a time for celebration. Open House is your opportunity to meet our new artists-in-residence in their studios and get a first look at our spring exhibitions: Transitory Emplacements (first floor) and We Are the Storm (third floor). (A selection of works by our artists-in-residence will be showcased on our second and third floors.)

Free admission, cash bar, and a live DJ set.
