“I listen to everything from Bach to Lil’ Wayne, and it doesn’t make me more or less Black,” said current Affiliate Artist de’Angelo Dia as he spoke about his upcoming performance entitled "Negritude Movement", in which he will explore the dichotomy of personality and identity at the Center’s Closing Reception on Friday, August 20th.

OPEN STUDIO SATURDAY, MAY 15

Saturdays during the summer are great time to spend the day outside, unfortunately the forecast this weekend calls for rain. Looking to stay dry? Well come on down to McColl Center for Visual Art’s Open Studio Saturday. All of the Center’s artists will be in their studios with the doors open, and an open door means come on in. We are also pleased to feature a special interactive installation in collaboration with Southern Holiday and Annabel Manning.

Don’t miss the upcoming deadlines for the Center’s various Artist-in-Residence programs. McColl Center for Visual Art is seeking artists of all media and at any point in their career to apply.
