OPENING RECEPTION
The Green Shadow: Installations by Jeff Schmuki and Heather Lewis

>> The ground floor will feature a special reception for five LIFESPAN artists.

Join us for a reception on Friday, April 15 that celebrates the opening our newest exhibition and the arrival of new resident artists: Felicia van Bork, Isaac Payne, Sharon Dowell, Erika Diamond and Nathaniel Lancaster whose works will be on display in the 2nd and 3rd floor galleries. 

The Green Shadow features: environmental and installation artist, Jeff Schmuki, who creates undulating, linear, soft sculptures, stuffed with a growing medium and planted with chia. These sculptures stretch throughout the gallery and create a "green space" that addresses fragility, decomposition and rebirth. Heather Lewis, mixed media and installation artist, explores the relationship between perception, mechanical process and creative practice as she incorporates technology and everyday phenomena such as light, shadow and gravity, into her installations, paintings, wall and floor drawings.
