Monotypes are unique prints on paper transferred from a smooth, inked plate. In this one-day workshop on Saturday, September 10 from 10 AM to 4 PM, participants will work with current 11-month resident, Felicia van Bork who will demonstrate methods used to make a compelling image in the Center's printmaking studio. Participants will learn studio practices such as ink mixing, operating a printing press, and preparing paper for printing. Additional techniques specific to the monotype including reductive printing, trace printing and paper stamping will also be covered. At the end of the class, participants will leave with a minimum of two monotypes. All supplies are included in the cost, but participants are asked to bring a lunch (fridge available).

Members: $55
