Wine and food get paired together all the time. It’s a lovely concept designed to enhance the dining experience. Since we are always looking for new ways to improve the gallery experience, we put our own spin on this culinary concept and removed food from the equation replacing it with art. Wine paired with art. Voila! Palate to Palette is born. Now in its fourth year, Palate to Palette has grown to be the largest Contemporaries event of the year and their best party too! We invite you to join us as this year’s event on Friday, December 2.

More than just another wine-and-cheese art opening, Palate to Palette is designed to take ticket holders on a visual and tasting journey. Individuals will travel throughout the building to wine tasting stations set up in artist studios. Each station will feature one artist and one glass of wine that has been thoughtfully selected to create a perfect pairing. Six sipping stations will be included at this year's event which feature the following current and alumni artists as their compliment:
Felicia van Bork
In addition to the tasting stations, the building will be alive with live music by Chasing Edison, gourmet local food as well as an auction and raffle featuring, you guessed it, wine and art! And as the event comes to an end, attendees will also have the opportunity to go home with something they love - artwork and wine. So be sure to take good notes, the wine served during the event will be available for purchase by the bottle or case with proceeds directly supporting art and artists in our community.

An example of a past pairing is that of Oliver Lewis with Tiamo Organic Prosecco from Veneto, Italy. Why? Because Prosecco requires a unique fermentation process called Charmat which produces bubbles in glass-lined tanks while preserving the inherent freshness of the Prosecco grape. Artist Oliver Lewis recognizes that great products come from unique process, so he invented his own screen printing chemical and process to 'char' images into wooden panels.
