Connect with Culture Day

Connect with Culture Day is ASC’s daylong celebration of creativity throughout Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. At McColl Center, you and your family, friends, and neighbors will get to view our spring exhibitions—Transitory Emplacements and We Are the Storm—and participate in hands-on art-making for everyone. Free admission.

Charlotte artist Bree Stallings will lead budding artists of all ages in a card making and banner painting workshop. Together we’ll create a banner and cards with messages that are both hopeful and beautiful for our Charlotte neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing vulnerability. Join us as we merge art and giving.
▶︎ Drop in anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Join the assembly line and make artful care packages for our North End neighbors experiencing homelessness. We’ll create and fill decorative bags with toiletries, socks, and other necessities.
▶︎ Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. (while supplies last)

Some of our current artists-in-residence will be in their studios welcoming visitors during the afternoon. Come through and learn about them, their artwork, and their creative processes.
▶︎ Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
