Stimulus: Black Blooded
What inspires artists to create?
What stimulates their imaginations?
Stimulus is intended to offer visitors deeper insight into the work and ideas of contemporary artists. During Stimulus: Black Blooded, McColl Center summer artist-in-residence Stephanie J. Woods, alumna artist Marcia Jones (2011), photographer Zun Lee, and mixed media artist Stacy Lynn Waddell—each featured in the exhibition Black Blooded, curated by Jessica Gaynelle Moss and on view through August 26, 2018, at the New Gallery of Modern Art—will share the films, videos, books, and music that have influenced or inspired their work in the exhibition.
Free admission and everyone is welcome. You are encouraged to bring an object that inspires you to share with the artists and other participants.
This event is presented in partnership with the New Gallery of Modern Art.
