At McColl Center, we’re building a community where our artists and an engaged public (that’s you!) enhance their creativity through relevant, diverse, and accessible experiences.
The 2019 Member Show honors and celebrates this commitment to community and creativity by showcasing the artwork of over 80 McColl Center Members.
The artists will be here and almost every piece of artwork is for sale (just in time for the holidays).
We’ll also have fine chocolates by Potts Chocolate, beer and wine, and live blues by The Wildcats, featuring alumnus artist Tom Stanley (2018-2019) on harmonica.
How to get here and where to park
We’re at 721 N. Tryon St. in Uptown Charlotte. Plenty of free parking is available on N. Tryon St. after 6:00 p.m. and in the lot at the corner of W. 10th St. and N. Church St. (behind Charlotte Ballet).
Our accessible entrance is located at the end of the ramp at the rear of our building. If you’re visiting from the N. Church Street side of our campus and our gate is closed, pull into the driveway and call 704-332-5535 to speak to the attendant at our welcome desk. They will come down and open the gate (which we keep closed for security purposes) in a few minutes. If you’re visiting from the N. Tryon Street side, proceed towards the building, then follow the paved pathway to the left along the side of the building. (Our building will be on your right as you proceed towards the ramp.) When you reach the end of the ramp, the entrance will be on your right. Near the door and bay door will be a call box. Press the call button to speak with the attendant at our welcome desk. They will unlock the door for you remotely. Proceed through our sculpture studio and into our building until you see the elevator on your right. Proceed to our welcome desk on the first floor to check in with our attendant.
