10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Alumna artist Beverly Y. Smith will teach you to create a miniature quilt by transferring photo images to fabric, sewing hand-machine stitches, and adding dimension with embellished quilt tops. You are encouraged (but not required) to bring a photograph of an ancestor or family member, bits of cloth, ribbons, buttons, and/or beads that have sentimental value. (Copies will be made from photographs; originals will be returned.) You’ll leave this workshop with your very own quilt.
Adults and teenagers are welcome. All materials are provided. Sewing machine experience not required.
