McColl Center + COVID-19 closures and cancelations

Dear McColl Center Friends,

In light of the current situation regarding COVID-19 and in conjunction with Governor Roy Cooper’s directives, McColl Center is closed to the public effective immediately and until further notice. All events and workshops taking place until April 11 are canceled.

If you have registered for Open Studio Saturday on March 21, please join us at our next one on Saturday, June 27 at noon. We look forward to seeing you then, if not sooner.

If you are registered for an art workshop during this time, you may do one of the following: 1) email us to convert your registration fee into a tax-deductible donation to McColl Center, 2) email us to transfer your fee to reschedule for a future workshop, or 3) request a refund. We are working to create online art workshops for adults and children. More details coming soon.

If you have rented McColl Center for your event or have a tour scheduled during this time, please contact James Minton to reschedule.

As you know, the COVID-19 outbreak and impact is evolving. We are doing everything possible to support the artists-in-residence and to meet their needs during this unprecedented time. McColl Center staff will begin working remotely in order to ensure everyone’s safety. Our team will still be responsive and available to answer questions you may have. Please feel free to contact staff members with questions or concerns.

Information will be updated here on our website and/or on our social media channels (@mccollcenter). Thank you for supporting McColl Center, artists, and the creative community. We hope you and your loved ones remain safe and supportive of one another during this time. Wash your hands.

Sincerely,

Alli Celebron-Brown
