Best for ages 8 and up.

Wil Bosbyshell is a drawer and painter based in Charlotte, NC. His current body of work explores a fascination and belief in the importance of trees to our planet. Wil often creates his work in graphite, as he views it as a straightforward medium that is easily understood and accessible to viewers of all ages.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to create a realism drawing
  • How to create texture to mimic tree bark
  • How to add branches and enhance particular areas in your drawing

What you need to create:

  • Sketch paper
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Image of a tree
  • An item with a texture you would like to use
  • Various pencils (Example: 2H, 2B, or 4B)
