Grant writing can seem daunting for many artists. In this workshop, participants will get a chance to understand some of the inner-workings and processes of funders and organizations during their grant reviews. Participants will also learn aspects of a strong grant or proposal and walk away practical skills they can utilize in their own grant writing. The presenter, Travis Laughlin, has nearly two decades of grant writing experience as well as several years of sitting on grant review panels and designing grants for a national arts organization. This workshop offers a little peek behind the curtain of grant review as well as pitfalls artists fall into when submitting grants.
