About the Speaker:

Meredith Connelly is a multidisciplinary artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina, whose practice investigates the relationships between light, ecological systems, scientific inquiry, and technology. Working across illuminated sculpture, large-scale public installation, and hand-cut paper, she creates immersive, site-responsive works that transform manufactured materials into environments that reveal patterns and processes found in the natural world. Through light, interaction, and scale, her work invites viewers to engage more deeply with the landscapes and living systems that surround them.
Her work includes Luminous Ecologies at Dumke Arts Plaza in Ogden, Utah; LIGHTS at the U.S. National Whitewater Center; Wings in Mint Hill, North Carolina; Golden Threads in Charlotte, North Carolina; Nested: Where Light Gathers and Nature Holds at Cameron Art Museum; and Clustered in Nashville, Tennessee. Connelly's work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, and public spaces throughout the United States and is included in public, private, and corporate collections.
Connelly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
