Artist Talk: Creating Imaginary Spaces with Rehab El Sadek
The imagined and structural spaces winter/spring 2021 artist-in-residence Rehab El Sadek creates are based on inspiration and memory. Join the artists' conversation with McColl Center Director of Residencies and Programs, Claudia Gonzalez-Griffin to understand El Sadek’s creative process.
During the talk, Rehab will share a pre-recorded city map-building activity, featuring Charlotte residents Charis Blackmon (ED, West Side Community Land Trust), Tim Miner (Charlotte is Creative) and Varsha Pradhan (Artist); and Texas-based creatives Tara Barton, Josh Benson, and Curt Gettman (co-Facilitator) where they envision an imaginary, fantastical city through group visualization.
