Composer/pianist Michael Harrison’s work has earned him the label of, in the words of composer Philip Glass, an “American Maverick.” He has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Fdn., New Music USA, American Composers Forum, Aaron Copland Fund, American Academy in Rome, Dia, MASS MoCA, MacDowell, and Yaddo. Performances include BAM Next Wave, MoMA, Metropolitan Museum, the Louvre, Carnegie, Park Avenue Armory, MASS MoCA, Spoleto Festival, United Nations, and Sundance. His latest albums have been chosen by The New York Times, Boston Globe, NPR among the Best Classical Recordings of the Year.
