Klein received her BA and MFA from Mills College, Oakland, CA. She has participated in numerous residencies, including the Headlands Center for the Arts in California. Klein's work blends art and everyday life by focusing on food, home, and community through workshops, videos, books and lectures. She is especially inspired by the process, history, and community surrounding bread. Drawn to domesticity and the rituals of everyday life, Klein often combines video, sound, performance and drawing to investigate processes related to food traditions.
