The Hunnid Dollar Art Fair was created by BLKMRKTCLT, the creative collective that includes McColl Center Contemporaries artist Dammit Wesley, to make art collecting accessible and inclusive in Charlotte. Since its first iterations in 2018, the fair has grown into one of the city’s most anticipated annual events, bringing together dozens of emerging and established artists offering original works priced at $100, with a curated gallery section offering higher-priced pieces for seasoned collectors.
This special edition features a VIP first look exclusively for Contemporaries Members, led by Dammit Wesley. Members will join him for an hour-long guided walkthrough of the fair before the general VIP opening, gaining insight into the art-making process, his own creative practice, and how HDAF strengthens Charlotte’s collector-artist ecosystem.
