ABEL R. JACKSON III

Abel R. Jackson III is known for his murals and portraits, often depicting important moments of history. Jackson holds a BFA from Winthrop University where he studied graphic design and illustration. His work is known for its emphasis on detail and usage of vibrant color which he uses to communicate a wide range of ideas, emotions, and experiences. Abel says, “My desire is to paint the contents of my heart. My mission is to create profound works of art that communicate spiritually uplifting ideas and concepts. My objective is to stir the soul, stimulate the mind, and expand the consciousness – awareness of both the artist (myself) and the viewer. I take great pride in providing this purposeful function to my community.
