Charlotte, NC (November 3, 2020) – McColl Center for Art + Innovation welcomes Jonell Logan as its Creative Director. She began the role on November 2, 2020. “I am excited to join McColl Center in support of artists, the community, and Charlotte,” said Logan.
Jonell Logan is an arts advocate dedicated to supporting the careers of contemporary artists and providing connections for non-traditional audiences. Based in Charlotte, she served as the Executive Director of The League of Creative Interventionists (LOCI), a nonprofit organization that supports a national network of artists and community partners using creativity to transform communities from within. Before LOCI, Logan founded 300 Arts Project, consulting with culturally based organizations to develop broader access to emerging contemporary artists.
Logan brings museum and curatorial experience to McColl Center, having worked for art organizations including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of Art, Gibbes Museum of Art, and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American History and Culture. She recently served as a visiting curator for McColl Center.
