Aiko Miyanaga graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design’s Sculpture Course and attended master courses at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. She has exhibited across Japan and was awarded the Japanese Government Overseas Study Programme for Artists. Creating sculptures that infiltrate the spaces they inhabit as they evolve and disintegrate, Miyanaga uses natural materials and processes to create evocative, ephemeral sculptures that relay the passage of time and engage the viewers’ senses and imagination.
