Albert Casanye attended the Massana Art School in Barcelona, Spain. His work has been exhibited in many countries including Spain, Germany, Holland, France, and now the United States. Casanye approaches his work with the intention of convincing others to acknowledge the existence of universal feelings as well as the validity of different points of view. For him, sculpting is a cathartic process in which he works through his emotions, and his pieces encourage viewers to think about their own feelings. He begins with basic shapes such as the cone and the sphere, and creates optical distortions that reflect many views and different meanings. Casanye's work is about possibility.
