Allison Luce has dual BFA degrees in Painting and Art History from Ohio University and has an MFA from Hunter College, City University of New York. She has shown her work in both solo and group exhibitions, and her pieces are included in private collections. During the summer of 2009, she will be a Resident Artist at the International Ceramic Research Center in Skaelskor, Denmark. Allison Luce explores the ephemeral nature of existence and the mystery of eternity in her ceramic sculptures. Using clay as a metaphor for the body, she creates hollow structures that are symbolic of the body and soul.
