April Jones is a theater artist with over 20 years of experience in the performing arts. She attended Spelman College and North Carolina Central University where she earned a BA in Dramatic Art. Early work and internships involved productions throughout New York at the Nat Horne Theatre, Ohio Threatre, Billy Holiday Theatre, and Paul Robeson Theatre, and the Arena Stage in Washington, DC. In 2001, she was selected as Charlotte, NC's Theatreperson and Director of the Year, and Bounded Grace, directed by Jones, was awarded Show of the Year. She strives to provoke positive change through her performances and direction. Her strong belief in both the educational and entertaining aspects of theatre results in innovative sets and casting choices.
