Art + Artists

Catherine Cross Uehara received a BA from the University of California at Davis and an MFA from Hunter College in New York. The focus of her work is on the exploration of the inherent and applied identity of objects, organisms, and thought processes in our universe. Her art encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, and installation. Catherine enjoys working in cooperation with architecture to transform an environment into a new experience and, through her artwork, explore the ways individuals accumulate and become encrusted with matter and experience.
