Both a public and studio artist, Elizabeth Conner represents movement and change into works of art that incorporate local stories, conversations and explorations. As an environmental artist, Conner’s work is site-responsive and sensitive to physical, social, and historical context. With experience addressing water quality issues, Conner has worked in shoreline, storm water, and environmental remediation. During her residency as an Environmental Artist-in-Residence, Conner will focus on stream restoration at Brightwalk in the Statesville Avenue Corridor. Conner received her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts and her MFA from Vermont College. She has exhibited her work nationally and has received numerous commissions in public art remediation projects including the Tolt River Floodplain Restoration in Seattle.
