Eric Anderson retired as a professor of art at University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2002 to begin work as a full-time artist. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and is represented in over 34 museum, corporate, and private collections throughout the United States. Anderson's work is devoted to the theories and practices of Constructivism. His work speaks directly to the architecture of space, time, and movement and "holds the illusionary plane through color and texture while expanding the physical experience of form as an existing reality in space." Anderson masterfully incorporates diverse materials such as graphite, rubber, paint, wood and metal while creating delicate yet solid forms that play with the light.
