Fahamu Pecou received a BFA in Painting and Digital Media from the Atlanta College of Art. He has exhibited nationally and in South Africa and was recently featured in Art Basel Switzerland. Pecou is the Center's first Gantt Center Artist-in-Residence. Delving into stereotypes of black masculinity and fine art insider politics, Fahamu Pecou plays with the notions of fame, image, and consumerism in paintings that critique contemporary media and our collective misconceptions.
