Felicia van Bork has an MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA. She studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Canada, and in Florence, Italy as well as in New York at Columbia University, The New School, and the Art Students League. Felicia makes monotypes using water-based ink and an etching press. Her atmospheric imagery, informed by her interest in primordial life as an analogy for awakening consciousness, has been variously described as landscape, seascape, and an imaginary world. A geyser, whale, ice floe, or microscopic life form may be the subject of a single print or a wall-sized assemblage of tiled images.
