Frances Fusaro creates black and white photographs that incorporate unconventional shapes and dramatic light. Fusaro, who bought her first camera when she was fourteen, was drawn to photography because of the "unique relationship between black and white film and shadow and light." Fascinated by art history, Fusaro is influenced a range of photographers, including 1930s documentary photographer Margaret Bourke-White and contemporary conceptual artist Cindy Sherman.
