Art + Artists

Heather Johnson holds a BA from the University of Maryland and an MFA in Photography from the California College of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco. Her work explores fragments of the familiar and investigates the spaces 'between' physical and psychological distances that exist.  She focuses on the process of searching - linking empty, open landscapes with the experience of wandering.  Her work employs photography, embroidery, and text to explore concepts of time, distance, and alienation.
