Judy Kensley McKie completed a BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design. An extraordinarily graceful fusing of form and function characterizes Judy's furniture, whether in wood or bronze. Stylized birds, fish, and other various animals are carved into walnut, limewood, maple, and basswood or cast in bronze to become contemporary chairs, chests, and tables. Judy plans to use her time at McColl Center to complete a public art commission for the Garden of Peace that will serve as a memorial to victims of homicide.
