Marilyn Charlat Dix's interest in art began early but was put on hold as she followed a career in elementary education. It was not until she relocated to Charlotte in the mid 90's that she revisited her art interest. Her interest is to pursue how to display, mold, paint and fabricate her work using her time at McColl Center to research and delve into her pursuit of overlapping and layering techniques.
