Mary Tuma received a BA in Costume and Textile Design from University of California at Davis and an MFA from University of Arizona. She has exhibited her work extensively nationally and internationally and has appeared in Art in America. Addressing the issue of transformation of the body and the spirit through sculpture and installation of old fabric and found objects, Mary Tuma develops an "emotional landscape" through the use of clothing forms that references this intangible place.
