Raed Al Rawi exhibited in Iraq, Belgium, Bulgaria, London, and Egypt before he moved to Charlotte. He has had prolific solo shows in the Carolinas and in New York before his residency at McColl Center. His work is inspired by his heritage of being constantly connected to the ancient and the present. He uses the symbolism of color to create hazy luminosity, psychological journeys, and prompt conversations.
