Art + Artists

Robert Bickey received his BFA from the University of Georgia and his MFA in Sculpture from Clemson University. He has exhibited his work throughout the East and Midwest and he is a recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts Artist Fellowship. Walking the line between what is perceived to be comfortable and uncomfortable, Bickey's sculptures create a voyeuristic opportunity for viewers to navigate their feelings. He explores issues that arise from cultural conflicts between puritanical values systems and media driven images.
