Steven Andersen earned his BFA at the University of Minnesota and, after apprenticing at Universal Limited Art Editons, he served as Master Printer at Styria Studio and Cooper Union School of Art & Architecture, Cornell University. He has executed prints for such artists as Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenberg. For sixteen years, he was a founding partner of Vermillion Editions Limited, creating fine prints that are now included in renowned private and corporate collections and in leading museums throughout the country, including the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, the National Gallery, and Walker Art Center. In 1993, he opened his own print studio, AKASHA, in Minneapolis. While at McColl Center he will be collaborating with John Walker.
