Susan Hagen is a sculptor who received her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Susan bases her work on mythological stories. Her work has been in both solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally. Her work is in many private collections around the world. She works in an area where craft, sculpture and painting overlap, making carved and polychromed wood sculptures with the subject matter of symbolism and poetry found within everyday life. Her work is an earnest exploration of the meaning of symbolism in contemporary urban experience.
