Tim Hunkin first trained as an engineer at Cambridge University, then became a cartoonist, drawing the Rudiments of Wisdom for the Observer in London, England. Subsequently, he made a career in television, writing and presenting three series called The Secret Life of Machines. He now works mainly for museums curating exhibitions and making interactive exhibits and sculptural features. He has an obsession with the relatively recent history of technology, and that fascination has become the window through which he looks at the world. With regards to his artwork, the ulitimate aim is to entertain and subvert simultaneously.
