Sovereign Bodies: Movement & Meditation
Saturday, March 29 | 5–6:30 PM | McColl Center
Join this experience to release tension through somatic movement and meditation. This session will include gentle movement that builds into dancing, somatic movement, vocal expression, and mental and emotional release. Prepare to be free and uninhibited. We will conclude with an intention-setting meditation to culminate your somatic practice.
What is Somatic Movement?
Soma translates to "of the body as perceived within." Somatic movement allows time to observe and connect with what you are feeling in your body as you move. By focusing on how movement feels, you create an opportunity for a somatic release—energetic, physical, emotional, or all three.
