This 6-week series is tailored for young artists in 1st through 6th grades who are eager to explore and master the basics of their chosen medium. Guided by professional teaching artists, students will navigate the fundamentals through a fun and flexible curriculum focused on creative exploration. All skill levels are welcome, and all materials are provided.
In this studio series, participants will dive into the world of ceramics by learning essential techniques such as pinch, coil, and slab building methods to create unique sculptural pieces. Students will also explore glazing and cold finish methods to add vibrant colors to their creations.
Class will meet weekly on Saturdays between 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM for grades 1-3 and 11:00-12:30 for grades 4-6 on November 9, November 16, November 23, December 7, December 14, and December 21. Class will not meet November 30 due to the holiday weekend.
