Young Artist Studio Series: Ceramics

This 6-week series is tailored for young artists in 1st through 6th grades who are eager to explore and master the basics of their chosen medium. Guided by professional teaching artists, students will navigate the fundamentals through a fun and flexible curriculum focused on creative exploration. All skill levels are welcome, and all materials are provided.

In this studio series, participants will dive into the world of ceramics by learning essential techniques such as pinch, coil, and slab building methods to create unique sculptural pieces. Students will also explore glazing and cold finish methods to add vibrant colors to their creations.

Class will meet weekly on Saturdays between 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM for grades 1-3 and 12:00-1:30 for grades 4-6 on September 21, September 28, October 5, October 12, October 19 and October 26.
