MCCOLL BEGINS SEARCH FOR NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO

McColl Center seeks an experienced leader to guide McColl Center during an exciting time in the organization’s history. Utilizing McColl Center’s strategic plan, the President + CEO will drive the development and execution of identified plan strategies to grow earned and contributed revenue while increasing the organization’s presence locally and nationally. The ideal candidate is passionate about the arts, has a proven track record in management, development, leadership, and a strategic mindset to drive the organization's mission forward.

Leadership Requirements

The CEO has full responsibility for all facets of the organization and its mission, including fundraising, operations, and Board and stakeholder engagement.

This leader must be/have:

  • A vision-oriented, long-term strategic thinker and leader
  • A proven passion for the visual arts
  • Ability to build, communicate with inspiration to mobilize the Board, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to transform vision into action.
  • Solid business acumen; fiscal compliance and planning, and financial reporting knowledge.
  • Promotes visibility and credibility of McColl Center in the community.
  • Proven track record of identifying, cultivating and increasing diverse funding streams; understands fundraising principles; comfortable and effective in donor cultivation
  • Ability to build partnerships in new markets, establish relationships with funders, the artist community, as well as with political and community leaders.
  • Work closely and effectively with internal staff, artist residents, volunteers, and Board.
  • Prior experience improving and modernizing business tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Capable of enhancing an innovative business model and practices that will enhance the entrepreneurial approach to nonprofit model.
  • Ability to ensure effective systems to track progress, and regularly evaluate programs.

Education and/or Experience and Qualifications

At least 10 years of senior management with experience leading human resources, budgeting, financial planning, and operations within an organization.

Track record of effectively leading a regionally or nationally focused organization and staff.

Prior experience managing an arts organization is preferred.

Fundraising experience, including donor relations, corporate giving and campaigns

Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and project skills

Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree a plus.
