McColl Center for Art + Innovation welcomes Ben McCarthy As Vice President of Development

Charlotte, NC (November 3, 2020) – McColl Center for Art + Innovation has named Ben McCarthy as its new Vice President of Development. He began the role on September 15, 2020.

“Joining the McColl Center team and reconnecting with the arts community in Charlotte is such a beautiful homecoming. My love for the arts and passion for supporting artists started here in Charlotte while attending Northwest School of the Arts many years ago,” said McCarthy. “I am excited to be partnering with [president and CEO] Alli Celebron-Brown and the entire McColl Center team, building upon what has already been accomplished and growing investments in our mission.”

McCarthy recently led fundraising efforts for the largest film festival in the country, the Seattle International Film Festival. He served as Executive Director of Three Dollar Bill Cinema, and has assisted in the success of nonprofit cultural organizations including Joedance Film Festival, North Carolina Theatre Conference,  and, most recently, Actor's Theatre of Charlotte. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Arts Leadership from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Greensboro College.
