It was important for me to apply because I thought about all the people entering the Atrium building with worry, doubt or anxiety about their current condition. The HOPE mural brings positivity to patients before they even walk into the door for treatment.
Rebecca Lipps is a multi-faceted artist and educator in Charlotte, NC. She creates works that cultivate an immersive experience through painting, sculpture, and video installation. Rebecca’s work combines her love for figure, pattern, and color into recognizable flower figure murals.
Rebecca’s mission as an artist is to create positive connections between people and their community. At a community art exchange box on North Davidson St Rebecca created, visitors can give and take artwork as community exchanges. She brings her talents to broader effect by creating public artworks, teaching painting classes, and involving herself in Charlotte arts organizations.
