rumi maki: infinite harmonics of southern alchemy

Date: February 23 - April 10, 2022
Time: Gallery Hours
Cost: Free | $10 suggested donation

infinite harmonics references a plural,
a narrative that forms a timeless whole.
andean + african cosmology, architecture,
cultural encoding, abstraction, fractals,
alternative radical mathematics,
diachronic data still resonating.

Southern Alchemy is simply the metaphysical strategies taken upon in the US South and South American as forms of civil disobedience,
as forms or resistance,
as magical processes that combine unrelated elements for the purpose of transcending.

My work utilizes an ethnographic approach as a way to intersect and prod viewers to reflect and relate to one another.
